Wanyan was an ordinary intern judge at the Ten-Lords Commission. Unable to put up with the work there, she quit and went home. But when it rains, it pours, and one troublesome incident followed another.
On her way home after losing her job, Wanyan was attacked by Abominations of Abundance. With her low combat ability, her first reaction was to scream for help. Her yell didn't scare the Abomination to death, but it nearly scared her to death instead. Because her scream summoned something called the [System].
The System insisted she had the potential to become an idol. It promised to tell her how to escape as quickly as possible and meet up with the Cloud Knights, as long as she bound herself to it. For the sake of her life, Wanyan was suspicious of the [System's] motives, but ultimately chose to bind herself to it.
Only after binding herself did she realize she'd been tricked!
Want to become an idol? First, you have to train.
To master high notes, sing beneath a waterfall!
To master dancing, dance on a plum-blossom stake with spikes sharp enough to pierce your feet!
To master singing and dancing, fight the Borisin while singing!
Is there something wrong with this System?!!!
Still, binding herself to the System did have its benefits. She unexpectedly discovered that her singing could effectively suppress the onset of Mara-Struck. According to the System, if she worked hard and completed all its missions, her voice would eventually be able to cure Mara-Struck.
Whether it was true or not, the promise of such a reward was enough to make Wanyan decide to give it her all! To cure Mara-Struck, and to escape the System's brutal training as soon as possible!
In the end, Wanyan really did become an idol whose fame resounded throughout the universe. But she wasn't happy at all! She had become an Emanator of Destruction! Did destroying Mara-Struck count as following the Path of Destruction? She really was a peace-loving person!
