Eleven Days

First-person

A lighthearted, diary-style short story about the little things that happen to me, someone with an 11-day holiday, while I go home for the Lunar New Year.

Along the way, it explores the personal issues young people face today: the self and our ideals, reality and freedom, romance and marriage, social relationships, depression, and stress.

The first half mostly follows the everyday life I share with my parents. The second half turns to the romances of friends I meet over the holiday. It also includes the funny story of a game of Truth or Dare between me, Da Monkey, and Lao Feng, as well as an unexpected secret from our youth that comes to light on the last day of the holiday...

Theme: You can't go to work without going a little crazy. Vacations are better.
