Princess Royal, Don't Run!

1.

Ji Qiuchi is known for being spoiled and willful. She's the princess who makes all 110 wards of Chang'an keep their distance.

On the day of her wedding, she defies the imperial decree and runs away.

The whole city's Imperial Guards are dispatched to capture the fugitive princess.

But who could have guessed that the princess they're chasing is spending the night with a wandering swordswoman?

When she wakes up, she hurriedly leaves some gold and silver behind and sneaks away.

When they meet again, the princess is disguised as Lin County Commandant, heading west to take up her post. She doesn't recognize the woman she spent that night with, and even borrows her name. As she solves one strange case after another, she causes no small amount of trouble for Lin Junhua.

Lin Junhua is exasperated and asks, feeling a little aggrieved, "You spent the night with me, then took my name, and now you pretend you don't know me?"

Ji Qiuchi: "I can call myself whatever I like. As for you, I paid you for your services. We're even, so there's no need to cling to me."

Only belatedly does Lin Junhua realize that from beginning to end, this might all have been one-sided on her part.

2.

Lin Junhua is the most mysterious big shot in the martial world. Now she's facing the greatest crisis of her life: her family is so poor they can barely afford to eat.

She originally came out of seclusion to earn a little extra money, never expecting to pick up a troublemaker worth "ten thousand taels of gold."

Ji Qiuchi: "Let me go, and I'll guarantee you a life of wealth and luxury!"

Lin Junhua: "Empty promises won't work."

Ji Qiuchi: "Let me go, and I'll make sure you rise to the top!"

Lin Junhua: "Only a fool would become an official."

Ji Qiuchi: "Let me go... This is everything I have!"

Lin Junhua weighs the purse in her hand and sighs. "But His Majesty's reward is worth more."

She can't beat her, and bribery doesn't work. Ji Qiuchi steels herself, tugs at the other's sleeve, and bats her eyes.

"Dear sister, if you let me go... I'll give myself to you, all right?"

Lin Junhua raises an eyebrow.

Well... That might not be such a bad idea.
