Check out my new novel: Crossing the River with a Mirror

An ensemble historical-style story. Please enjoy!

"What if I told you we're all trapped in a book, our fates written by someone else?"

Then we'll fight this book, this very world, to the death.

A single volume of Dream of the Red Chamber traps dozens of living souls.

Reincarnation, repetition, never truly escaping.

Until...

Until this lifetime.

She laughed, bitterly and fiercely. She said she refused to believe in fate.

But romance and moonlit nights cannot compete with the daily grind, and heartfelt letters lose out to life's endless mess.

It turns out life's greatest truth is simply that two people can be fated to meet, yet not to be together.

Can we escape?

I was born into this life, so why should I be unable to escape?!!

Struggle, struggle.

When fate arrives, everyone fights with all their might to break free of the story's course.

This is a portrait of ordinary people resisting the cycle of fate.

They were all swept into fate's whirlpool. A single volume of Dream of the Red Chamber became a prison none of them could escape.

Where, exactly, is the turning point?!

*All characters are moved into a modern setting

*Some names and relationships have been changed

*A struggle against fate

*Warning: old-school print-media writing style!!
