There is a group of people who were born to be villains.
They walk the line between human nature and desire. Their tragic pasts have warped their minds, and they stop at nothing to do evil. When the protagonist is down, they mock and kick them while they're down; when the protagonist shows mercy, they push their luck and bite back.
They are selfish, greedy, hypocritical, self-righteous, and ruthless. Yet they are also pitiful and tragic, lonely and abandoned, covered in scars, and destined for gruesome deaths.
They dwell in the gray area where the lines between good and evil blur. They have never received even a little kindness in their lives, making them even harder to deal with than the truly evil. They believe they will never be redeemed, and will never repent.
They are so difficult to handle that they have caused turmoil and collapse in many worlds.
To restore order, the Chief Executive stepped in and sent people to reform them.
Those chosen for the task were the first batch of Systems.
Although their ultimate goal was achieved, the direction of the reform seems to have been just a tiny bit...
