Lighthearted Summary:

After Fan Xian arrived in the capital, he found one person very strange. They seemed to fit into this era, yet whenever he made a modern reference, the corners of their mouth would twitch upward, as if they understood what he was saying.

He tried dropping hints and asking outright, but all he got in return was a bewildered look.

If asking didn't work, he'd trick them! He refused to believe that there was a fellow countryman he, Fan Xian, couldn't trick into giving themselves away!

"How are you?" Fan Xian barged into the Jiang residence and asked right away.

"I'm fine, thank you, and you?" Jiang Shengge replied without thinking.

"Aha! I knew it!" Fan Xian cried, excitedly hugging his fellow countryman and tearfully recounting all the hardships he'd endured over the years.

Jiang Shengge, whose secret identity had been exposed, looked utterly defeated and smacked that goofy face.

"Qiaohui, show him out!"

"Wait, does my fellow countryman have a pen name, Ruoxi Maertai?"

Standard Summary:

Before she transmigrated, Jiang Shengge had a difficult life. Her family controlled everything she did. She wanted to make something of herself, but was still firmly pushed toward the life others wanted her to lead. She was always working overtime or rushing to work overtime just to buy her family a house. In the end, she died suddenly at her desk.

Perhaps Heaven thought it was unfair, and gave Jiang Shengge a chance to start over.

She transmigrated to ancient times. Her father doted on her, her mother loved her, and her older brother was always saying that his little sister was the cutest. She smacked her lips, relaxed, and decided to live life to the fullest this time around.

Jiang Shengge's eyes widened. Realizing she'd transmigrated into Joy of Life, she sensed trouble. She didn't want to get caught up in the plot and be manipulated by others again.

So Jiang Shengge kept her talents hidden and rarely visited the Overwatch Council. She stayed either at Chen Garden or the Jiang residence. When it was truly necessary to visit the Council, she would quietly stay in a corner and keep a low profile.

In truth, from the moment Chen Pingping adopted Jiang Shengge and her brother, they had already become pawns in this vast game of chess.

Whether a pawn is kept or discarded depends entirely on the whim of the player.
