Gu Wang clutched the tube of ointment and applied it with utmost care, like he was repairing the most precious artifact in the world.

"You're more important than anything."

"Shen Jiuxing, tell me if it hurts."

In the damp, sticky air, their breathing was hurried and ragged, their bodies burning with heat. Shen Jiuxing's temples throbbed as he held back, until finally he planted a foot on the other's shoulder.

Shen Jiuxing's back slammed against the hard bed. Dizzy and dazed, he was close to biting his lower lip until it bled. He had no choice but to lower his head and force out, "...It hurts!"

Gu Wang smiled, his warm kiss landing at the corner of Shen Jiuxing's mouth, covering the scars from long ago.
