The nth time Gu Wang applies medicine, Shen Jiuxing finally can't take it anymore. "Isn't this a bit much?"

Gu Wang grips the tube of medicine and applies it with painstaking care, as if restoring a relic from the Forbidden City.

"No."

"You're more important than anything."

"Shen Jiuxing, tell me if it hurts."

In the humid, sticky air, their breathing is hurried and ragged, their body heat burning like fire. Shen Jiuxing grits his teeth until his temple throbs, then finally puts his foot on the other man's shoulder.

"Get the hell out of me..."

"I'm not leaving."

Shen Jiuxing's back hits the hard mattress. His head spins, and his lower lip is almost bitten bloody.

He has no choice but to lower his head and say with difficulty, "...It hurts!"
