Unable to escape, Ning Guiyan held his sword loosely against the man's throat.

Sect Leader Ji raised a hand and gripped the blade. "I'm afraid I can't. I've let you go so many times already. Do you know what this is called?"

After that, word quickly spreads around school that Mu Ze is pursuing a beta. A friend who comes rushing over grabs him and asks, "Is what they're saying true? You're really pursuing a beta? Who is it?"

Mu Ze looks up at Qiao Xi, who's just come back from getting water. "I can't tell you. But he doesn't refuse my gifts, and he hasn't said he doesn't like me. He just won't let me pursue him... And he won't let me date before I'm eighteen. Why do you think that is?"

His friend boldly declares, "What else could it be? He must be crazy about you."

Mu Ze smirks and nods at the person whose face has turned bright red.

"I think so too."
