After Asian Championship team HYP crashed out of the Worlds, Song Zhenmian brought the team back home and got savaged by all kinds of esports tabloids. The deadweight players left the team, and HYP couldn't even field a full roster for the regular season.
Their prospective new teammate, Jian Zaiyu, was a real firecracker. The first thing he sent after they added each other on chat was a roundup of negative comments from across the internet.
With everything going wrong from the start, Song Zhenmian even considered taking the team to compete in the national tournament. He never expected Jian Zaiyu to pull off a miraculous comeback with his sniper rifle and lead the team straight to the regular-season championship.
Jian Zaiyu was also a hopeless romantic. One look from Song Zhenmian was enough to leave him grinning from ear to ear.
And so HYP rose to the top again, going from domestic champions to Asian champions, and even lifting the World Championship trophy.
