Su Shi transmigrated.

In his previous life, he was a prodigy player with a freakish training style. After transmigrating, he became a useless mid laner hated by the entire internet and on the verge of being released from his contract. His teammates didn't like him, his coach didn't care for him, and Su Shi could barely see a future for himself on the team.

But after one match...

[This has to be cheats, right? Definitely cheats. Someone @ the officials and tell them to investigate. There's no way someone this good is Time. I don't believe it.]

[Dodged eight hundred skills with his positioning. Anyone who calls Time trash should try pulling off that play themselves.]

[He's so damn good! Give me three hundred slaps for every time I cursed Time out yesterday.]

The useless mid laner became a star rookie, a regular occupant of the ban list in top-level competitions, and a player with commercial value rivaling the biggest names. His past highlight reels of disastrous plays became a joke no one thought worth mentioning. When people brought up Time, the mid laner for IX, the comments now read, "That god-tier mid laner."

And this player, who always seemed to stir up a storm, still didn't care about his fans' feelings when he went live, openly announcing his relationship to the public.

"You can't call me anything else, mm... My partner would get jealous."

After he said that, Jiang Yanshi, the owner of IX, popped up in Su Shi's livestream.

His old fans: Mom, you can't date! Not even a guy!

His new fans: If it's Jiang Yanshi, then I guess it's not a problem.

At the Asian qualifiers, IX lifted the trophy as golden confetti rained down. Jiang Yanshi, Su Shi's former teammate, former boss, and current boyfriend, picked up the championship ring and quietly asked, "Can I try it on?"

Before Su Shi could nod, Jiang Yanshi slipped the ring onto his ring finger and kissed it.

"The golden rain is your glory, and you are my glory."

A rich, innocent man secretly in love with the person he likes, who treats him like a puppy, seme Jiang Yanshi x the battlefield's demonic king, uke Su Shi, whose puppy-like moods are always changing

The Shuangshi ship is real!!

Reading guide:

1. The transmigration is explained later in the story. I won't say too much here to avoid spoilers. I can't really give any warnings since I don't think there's anything especially upsetting.

2. The novel is not based on real people.

3. There are scenes featuring a side couple.

4. I work for clients, so I can accept reasonable, logical writing suggestions to a certain extent. But the overall direction won't change now, since I've already finished almost the whole manuscript >3<

5. That's all I can think of for now. I hope you enjoy the story!

The turning point in Jiang Yuncheng's life came when he was twenty.

He learned he wasn't the biological child of the Jiang family. The real young master had been found and brought home, while the person who had been his older brother for twenty years casually tossed the gift Jiang Yuncheng had given him onto the ground. Jiang Yuncheng asked himself: Could he leave?

He spent the night under a dilapidated covered bridge. When he woke, there was a mysterious System inside his body. That's when Jiang Yuncheng learned that he wasn't from this world. He was a fictional character, data that didn't exist. He had only two ways to stay alive: earn the love of the world's chosen one, or gain the affection of enough strangers.

The world's chosen one was Jiang Chizhao, the man who had been his older brother for twenty years.

So Jiang Yuncheng chose the other path: he would debut through a talent competition.

Someone with talent but no backing was bound to be abandoned. Those people let him make it into the debut lineup, then released fabricated scandals right before the finals and stopped him in his tracks.

More than half a year of effort went to waste, and Jiang Yuncheng's body rapidly withered away.

He felt like his life had always been one step short.

One step short of learning the truth about his background. One step short of finding out there was a mysterious System in his body. One step short of learning that he was actually a fictional character. One step short of debuting through the talent competition.

He was also too late to meet his biological family.

He was dying because he couldn't gather enough affection. Risking his life, he went to see his biological mother, a gentle woman, but the two of them merely passed each other by.

Jiang Yuncheng died that winter. He didn't live to see the Spring Festival that year.

The departure of a fictional character did not affect the progress of the world's timeline. The memories of everyone connected to Jiang Yuncheng were automatically rewritten. They would never remember that they had once let down a boy like him. Only Jiang Chizhao would occasionally think of him late at night.

When he did, he would ask about him. At a party, Jiang Chizhao ran into the contestants who had been on a talent show with Jiang Yuncheng. They had since become leading figures in the industry. Jiang Chizhao asked about Jiang Yuncheng as if it were just a passing thought, but the answer he got was:

"Who is that?"

Jiang Chizhao belatedly realized that Jiang Yuncheng seemed to have truly disappeared from this world. Even his mother didn't remember him. The love he had kept locked in his chest could no longer be restrained, and it burst forth. Jiang Chizhao picked up a knife and carved Jiang Yuncheng's name into his own chest.

Ten seconds later, the wound healed without a trace.

Jiang Chizhao went completely mad.

Theme: This time, turn the tables against all odds.
