Because they had already shared a passionate love in their twenties...

Yue Chisi's life had gone smoothly by any measure. Her one setback was falling for someone during her school years, someone completely different from her. Everyone told her to let it go, but she wouldn't listen.

They didn't get together until the day they graduated from high school.

Yue Chisi bragged, "See? I told you he liked me."

People warned her again, "The gap between you is too big. It's hard to say how far a school romance will go. You might not last."

Yue Chisi remembered the hopes for the future that their homeroom teacher had asked them to write down near the end of their senior year. She said, "Even if it doesn't work out, I won't regret it."

Even after they broke up seven years later, Yue Chisi still said the same thing.

"In the future, I'll make my dream come true and reach a bigger stage, where everyone can see me."

"In the future, I'll have a steady job and a peaceful life here."

"In the future, we'll each go our own way."
