Yan Jihao has won the global cybersecurity competition for several years in a row and is about to join the Cybersecurity Bureau as a white hat hacker.
Worried about his parents' health, he accidentally overhears the work they've kept secret for years: turning around the apocalypse in another world.
This is the world's highest-level classified information.
[A black hat hacker becomes an apocalypse-reversal operative.]
Yan Jihao is arrested for eavesdropping on classified information.
He should have ended up in prison, but because he has an S-rank ability potential, he is recruited as an operative to make amends for his crime.
His consciousness is transmitted to another world.
The apocalypse will arrive within 24 hours.
Its source lies in the home of the wealthy Qian family.
He must infiltrate the Qian household to find out what happened and try to turn back the apocalypse through one loop after another.

Yan Jihao learns from his parents that his ability is called "Method Acting": he can become anyone by playing their role.
So, in the first loop,
he arrives at the Qian household and introduces himself:
"I'm the illegitimate son of the second master of the Qian family and his first love."
The second master is moved to tears: "Your eyes and brows look just like hers."
In the third loop,
he finds the head of the family and introduces himself:
"I'm a prophet. You can't get anything done without me."
The head of the family: "Master, please come in!"

Yan Jihao is assigned a partner, Zhuang Boyi, against his will.
Zhuang Boyi was expelled from the special forces reserve unit for refusing to follow orders. After becoming an operative, he drove away several partners as well.
He refuses to accept Yan Jihao, too, and puts on airs when they meet:
"I'm the strongest special forces reserve candidate."
Yan Jihao immediately puts on airs right back: "I'm the strongest white hat and black hat hacker."
The two take turns getting themselves into trouble on their missions.
In the first loop, Yan Jihao brings the apocalypse forward to within eight hours.
Zhuang Boyi responds by bringing it forward to within one hour.
The mission fails, but instead of blaming each other, the two start complimenting each other.
Yan Jihao: "You're really good at sneaking around for a special forces guy."
Zhuang Boyi: "You really know how to dig up useful information as a hacker."
Their supervisors, who hadn't expected much from them: "Those two actually seem to work pretty well together."

After completing the mission, the two go from competing to see who is better to harboring secret designs on each other.
Yan Jihao: "That guy who puts on airs is actually pretty handsome."
Zhuang Boyi: "That Yan guy smells so good."

1. Every mission focuses solely on preventing the apocalypse. There is almost no post-apocalypse content, so this is different from typical apocalypse stories.
2. The top and bottom grow together. It's 1v1 throughout, with a happy ending.
