"A Guide to Life as a Prince"
Xu Yongju is about to cry. Somehow, he transmigrated to the Great Jin Dynasty and became Consort Shu's son. But not only does he fail to enjoy any of the benefits of having a mother with a high rank, he is targeted for assassination nine times every three days.
Xu Yongju sighs. He can't afford to keep living like this, so he might as well latch onto someone powerful!
He has two options:
First, his biological father, who supposedly murdered his father and brothers to seize the throne, and raises his sons like they're being bred to fight each other.
Second, his biological older brother, a pitiful little thing before taking the throne, who went on to devise the Ten Great Tortures of the Great Jin and rule so brutally that the people rose up in rebellion across the land.
How is he supposed to choose? Either way, he looks doomed!
Forget it, Xu Yongju sighs. Adults are the ones who have to choose. A child can have both!
Blurb:
Xu Wei thought marriage would let her escape her family, but who could have guessed she'd end up with an abusive husband? Not only did she lose the baby she was six months pregnant with, she also became unable to have children. Gritting her teeth, she sent both her ex-husband and former mother-in-law to prison.
After divorcing and returning to her family home, she discovered there was even less room for her there. To survive, and to spare the only person who truly cared about her, her father, from any more trouble, Xu Wei gritted her teeth and agreed to a blind date.
Yan Yi had hoped for a peaceful marriage and a family, but he never shared a common purpose with his ex-wife. She was obsessed with her family and never treated their son well, so they eventually divorced. Wanting someone to care for his son and to give the boy a complete family, Yan Yi asked someone to arrange a blind date for him.
Who would have thought that two people who had both endured unhappy marriages could find such a wonderful life together in their second marriages, one everyone would envy?
There aren't many readers yet, but here's a list of caveats anyway!
1. This is slice-of-life, focused on everyday minutiae, without many dramatic twists.
2. The female lead remarries and becomes a stepmother, raising someone else's child. She won't have any children of her own.
3. The female lead isn't particularly forceful or clever, just an ordinary person.
4. I don't think my writing is too amateurish, but it's still just average.
5. One last important point: I've referred to various reports, articles, and price compilations for things like costs of living and many other details, but obviously I can't recreate everything exactly. There are quite a few fictional details that may not be historically accurate, so please treat this as an alternate setting!
Finally, I hope all the lovely readers who stick around enjoy the story! Please add it to your library, and thank you!
Premise: Take each day seriously.
Damn, don't say I'm cold-blooded. If I were the heroine, I wouldn't feel uncomfortable. Why bother yourself? If it's not yours, it's not yours. You can take it away when your relatives come back to take it. I won't say why I want to be a virgin. I won't say anything about the male protagonist. Anyway, I don't like him. I have to be a good person and do thankless things, and I have to pull people around me to do it for him. Anyway, I don't like it.
Pregnancy-induced hypertension is really serious. Without intervention, it may kill two people.
Gone? No extras?
I always forget to bring my keys, otherwise I should change to a smart door lock.
It's so true, so eloquently told
Throw flowers, throw flowers, throw flowers
If you don't save them, they deserve what they deserve
Ah, it's going to end so soon. Can you give this Liao Han girl a bad ending? It's so annoying.
This old man said that it is better to rely on yourself than to rely on anyone. Who did your grandson rely on when he was unhappy and couldn't survive? When relatives come together, they only think about how to benefit themselves. Who is willing to associate with you?
Throw flowers, throw flowers, throw flowers
