After the Black Lotus Was Betrayed

Ming Wuyue's real name is Ming Yue. She was betrothed from childhood to Lu Zhou, the young marquis of the Lu family in the capital. But when her family was invited by the Lu family to travel to the capital, bandits attacked them on the way, destroying her family. By chance, she was rescued by someone from the Eastern Palace.

This so-called engagement had been a plot from the very beginning.

Ming Wuyue must stay in the capital, in the Eastern Palace, and uncover the truth.

Chen Zhiyu, the Crown Prince of the Eastern Palace, is handsome and kind-hearted. What's more... he's cousins with Lu Zhou.

Word is that Chen Zhiyu has no interest in women or romance.

He sounds like a difficult man to approach.

But the first time he saw her, he lost himself and stared at her in a daze. Later, when she fainted and he rescued her, they were alone together in one room, and he blushed again.

Ming Wuyue thought, perhaps... she could take advantage of this foolish Crown Prince?

She coaxed him, used him, and relied on him to get closer to Lu Zhou. But later, she began to wonder why Chen Zhiyu's gaze seemed more and more strange.

*

Everyone thinks Chen Zhiyu is foolish and kind, a heartless, innocent prince. Only he knows how dark his heart is.

When Ming Wuyue first came to the Eastern Palace, Chen Zhiyu disliked her intensely.

So he made her the lowest-ranking palace maid.

But later, he thought Ming Wuyue was rather interesting. He might as well keep her around like a little bird to amuse himself. When the bird got mischievous, he let her do as she pleased. When she wanted to borrow his authority, he let her swagger around under his protection.

She thought he was a fool... fine, he accepted that.

But later, she took hold of his heart.

She deceived him again and again, but he was helpless to stop her. All he could say was,

"If you deceive me again, I'll have to lock you up."
