After I Met My Secret Crush While Driving a Rideshare

After graduating from university, Lu Zhi became a full-time novelist. To find inspiration and relax, he took up driving for a ride-hailing service in his spare time.

He never expected to run into the senior he'd had a crush on at university, Xu Sixing. Xu Sixing was a year ahead of him, handsome and elegant, and a well-known campus celebrity with plenty of admirers.

Lu Zhi thought he wasn't good enough for someone so outstanding. He didn't dare confess, so he could only admire him from afar.

They chatted pleasantly enough during the ride, but Lu Zhi felt a little ill at ease.

At the end, Xu Sixing said, "I've been transferred to Huaizhou for work. I need a ride every day. Could you pick me up and drop me off from now on? I can pay you for a whole year in advance."

Lu Zhi: Huh?

He didn't know how to refuse, so he agreed.

After Lu Zhi had been driving him for a while, Xu Sixing said, "Your place is close to my office. Why don't we share a place?"

Lu Zhi: Huh?

He didn't know how to refuse, so he agreed again.

And just like that, they somehow ended up living together.

One day, while they were having dinner, Xu Sixing said, "Zhizhi, you like my cooking, don't you? Why don't we get together? Then I can cook for you every day."

Lu Zhi: Huh?

He didn't know how to refuse, and then... Wait a minute, how had his unrequited crush turned into a real relationship?!

Reading Notes:

1. Mutual crush, with a few misunderstandings on both sides.

2. Both are virgins, one-on-one, happy ending, a no-brainer sweet romance, probably a short story.

3. No real-life inspiration, no real-life inspiration, no real-life inspiration. Important things must be said three times.

Theme: Believe in yourself, face yourself honestly, and dare to express what is in your heart.
