Master, Your Character Is Falling Apart

As a sickly young man with little time left to live, Chen Xi coughed up blood and fainted at the disciple selection ceremony.

When he woke up, he had somehow become the first disciple of Qingyu Immortal Venerable, the foremost cultivator in the immortal realm...

Chen Xi smiled on the outside, but inwardly he was utterly exasperated.

He hadn't come here to become a proper disciple and cultivate. He was the Demon Venerable's son, and he'd snuck in just to "borrow" a divine artifact to heal his injuries. Getting close to someone this powerful was only going to make things much harder.

So Chen Xi searched for the divine artifact while trying to handle his master.

But as they spent time together, he realized his master wasn't as cold and heartless as the rumors claimed. He was actually quite good to him.

Without realizing it, Chen Xi found himself drawn to him, always wanting to tease his master.

But no matter how much he teased him, or even tried to tempt him, his master seemed completely unmoved.

Later, when his true identity was exposed, his fellow disciples shunned him and the elders punished him. His master even avoided seeing him, never showing up until the day he died.

Chen Xi understood: the rumors had been true. Qingyu Immortal Venerable really was cold and heartless.

After faking his death to escape, Chen Xi returned to the Demon Realm, but someone leaked the news of his whereabouts.

Before he could flee, Qingyu Immortal Venerable stormed in alone and caught him red-handed.

Chen Xi knew his master had come to purge the sect of him. There was no way to escape, so he prepared to die.

To his surprise, when his master saw him, he clung to him as if possessed, his voice low and hoarse with obsession. "Don't go."

Chen Xi stubbornly replied, "I was only using you to find the divine artifact."

His master said, "Fine. I want compensation."

Chen Xi didn't understand. "What compensation?"

His master said, "You."

Chen Xi: ?! Was this really his lofty, cold-hearted master?

*

Qingyu Immortal Venerable suffered from a mysterious ailment that often caused his heart to seize with pain. He had searched every realm, yet found no cure.

At the disciple selection ceremony, Chen Xi fainted in his arms, and for the first time, his heart didn't hurt. So he took Chen Xi as his disciple, intent on finding out why.

But he never expected Chen Xi to be both the medicine that cured him and the poison that drove him mad.

Note:

1. The master is the gong! The disciple is somewhat of a temptatious shou. The master won't realize that he loves his disciple right away.

2. Lofty master gong x pure and seductive disciple shou.

3. Both are each other's first, one-on-one, happy ending.

Core theme: When you reach a dead end, don't give up, because there's still hope. After crossing mountains, you'll see the most dazzling scenery.
