Also known as: Li Shimin in the Three Kingdoms: A Motley Court of Eccentric Rulers and Ministers; The Tang Emperor Enters the Three Kingdoms: A Fateful Meeting of Rulers, Ministers, and Internet Memes

After transmigrating into the Three Kingdoms era, Li Shimin retains the bearing of a wise ruler and hopes to take advantage of the chaos to restore the glory of the Tang dynasty.

Many heroes are moved by his reputation and join his cause. Yet when faced with these renowned geniuses from history, Li Shimin discovers that they seem quite different from their historical records.

As the enemy launches a fierce attack, Li Shimin asks for a plan. "Gentlemen, do you have a brilliant strategy that will take advantage of the right moment, place, and people?"

Jia Xu says, "My lord, corpses of those who died of disease can be used as projectiles to destroy the enemy's foundations. It may harm others, but it won't hurt me, Jia Xu, so it's a viable plan!"

Cheng Yu hears this and immediately starts fighting Jia Xu. "You brat, how dare you touch our army's provisions!" [1]

Li Shimin stares in astonishment. Weren't these supposed to be the refined gentlemen of the Wei and Jin dynasties, and renowned ministers as brave as Ben Yu?

When Cao Cao sends someone to persuade him to surrender, Li Shimin prepares for a full-blown fight, but then...

Xu Shu actually shouts, "My lord!" and sincerely pledges his allegiance. He even starts chatting and reveals Cao Cao's intelligence, point by point.

Li Shimin looks utterly confused. Wasn't he supposed to persuade me to surrender? And shouldn't I be the one calling Cao Cao a scoundrel?

Later, as Li Shimin gets to know "Tiger Fool" Xu Chu, "ox and horse" Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei's "same here" catchphrase, he becomes increasingly convinced that something is off.

Eventually, Li Shimin finally understands.

He hasn't transmigrated into the historical Three Kingdoms era, but into Internet Meme Three Kingdoms!

Li Shimin: Damn! No wonder these geniuses are all so weird!
