Protection Money? Aren't We Dating?

Blurb:

After losing his job, Sheng Shukui returned to the small county town where he had lived as a child and opened a grocery store.

A man named Xing Ke often came by to see him.

He was a nice guy, though he had a rather peculiar way of expressing himself and was always saying inexplicable things.

Sheng Shukui couldn't understand him, but guessed Xing Ke liked him. Why else would he come by so often?

Anyway, after a while, Sheng Shukui decided on his own that it was time for them to get together.

He took Xing Ke home.

To his surprise, Xing Ke was horrified and said he was only there to collect protection money.
