A preview of My Ex Really Came Back as a Ghost to Find Me is at the very bottom.
* Childhood friends' relationship practice observation log *
After Ling Wuxing picks up a pretty little calico, she plans to get it vaccinated once a month and then have it spayed in spring. But to her surprise, even a kitten can go into heat in the dead of winter...
Ling Wuxing is very careful, afraid the neighbors will complain.
Maybe it still has some of its old stray habits, because the kitten is incredibly nimble and somehow slips outside without her noticing.
When Ling Wuxing finds it again, it's refusing to leave her childhood friend's home downstairs and won't stop pestering his tabby.
Her childhood friend looks a little awkward. "It... has been neutered..."
Ling Wuxing is embarrassed too. After offering a very sincere apology, she doesn't expect her childhood friend to blurt out, "But I haven't been neutered."
Ling Wuxing: ??!
Bonus scene:
Qiao Xueji: You really like cats?
Ling Wuxing: Yes.
Qiao Xueji: Then... meow?
Ling Wuxing: ...
(clenches fist) If you gross me out on purpose again, I'll kill you!
A super-serious, plan-obsessed, blunt heroine who just can't figure out the male lead.
A catlike male lead who seems gentle and handsome, but is secretly full of schemes.
A light romantic comedy. All the technology, ghosts, and superpowers are made up by me. Childhood-friend romances cannot be pure.
My Ex Really Came Back as a Ghost to Find Me
The boyfriend Cui Rong's friends see: a brilliant, aloof beauty, top student, rich and handsome, and madly in love with his girlfriend.
The boyfriend Cui Rong sees: bad-tempered, jealous, petty, and saddled with a family that's a nightmare to deal with. Apart from his face and money, he has no redeeming qualities.
After her boyfriend's mother, an elegant wealthy lady, comes to see her once again and slides a check across the table, Cui Rong is too used to taking life easy to want any part of their family drama. She takes the money, walks away, and breaks up with her boyfriend.
Her bad-tempered, petty boyfriend is furious and threatens her:
"There's no way we're breaking up."
"Even if I die, I won't let you go!"
Cui Rong doesn't take him seriously and makes a quick getaway.
Three months later, she hears that her ex-boyfriend has died.
The wealthy lady has lost all her arrogance and begs her to attend the funeral.
Cui Rong politely refuses. That family has too much trouble, and she really doesn't want to get dragged back in.
That night, for the first time, her ex-boyfriend appears in her dream.
He smiles brightly at her, but what he says is a little frightening:
"I really did come back as a ghost to find you."
