After I Quit Figure Skating, Toru Oikawa Asked Me to Play Volleyball

My older brother, Ushijima, is naturally left-handed. He made the national team at seventeen and is undeniably a volleyball prodigy.

My childhood friend, Akashi, is a young master from a prestigious family, one of the Generation of Miracles, and an all-around basketball prodigy.

About me: At fourteen, I mastered two quadruple jumps and stood on the podium as the Junior World Champion. I was an undisputed figure-skating prodigy.

At least, that's what Yumeno used to believe.

At sixteen, Sora-i Yumeno is attending high school in his hometown of Miyagi, at Aoba Johsai, the school his brother's rivals attend. He heard it was barren ground, with no geniuses.

From the day he retired, he vowed never to touch competitive sports again and to enjoy a peaceful high school life.

A peaceful high school life should mean keeping a low profile, not getting into fights or becoming a delinquent like his big brother, studying hard and passing his exams, and having one or more romances worth remembering.

He failed at the first few things, so all he can do is work toward the last one.

Lately, Yumeno has been interested in dating the handsome senior setter on the school volleyball team.

The handsome senior is his brother's sworn rival.

The handsome senior wants him to play volleyball with him.

The handsome senior says Yumeno can be his boyfriend if they beat Shiratorizawa.

Later, his boyfriend tells him he wants to stand with him on the world stage and see what the summit looks like.

[S-type handsome setter x all-around ace he personally trained]

Depressed cat x clever border collie.

Not a pure wish-fulfillment story. I want to tell the story of two people who aren't geniuses. (Original blurb screenshot dated May 8, 2024.)
