Zhan Chi (bottom) × Hong Long (top)
Bold, playful, and a shameless flirt; seems lazy but is actually invincible; half-demon white tiger bottom ×
A devoted romantic who knows how to treat his partner right; an exemplary dragon; a capable, sweet-talking green tea dragon top
The half-demon clan was known for its diligence, hard work, and strict adherence to the rules. Every famous demon from previous generations had embodied these traits, until one year, when an eccentric crown prince was born.
The crown prince, Zhan Chi, was universally considered the clan's biggest slacker and troublemaker. Apart from his handsome face, he was good for nothing.
The whole clan studied hard, while he skipped class and partied, saying time should be spent on things that mattered.
The whole clan exercised to stay agile and lose weight, while he ate ten bowls of rice, saying he looked better when he was fat.
The whole clan competed in exams, while he lounged in a tree with his legs crossed, taking a nap and arrogantly declaring the questions too easy to interest him.
His countless outrageous statements and antics earned him thousands of pages of curses behind his back. "How could our great king, renowned throughout history, have a useless son who talks such a big game? Ugh!"
To whip his useless son into shape, the half-demon king sent Zhan Chi to train alongside Hong Long, the sixth prince of the dragon clan.
Hong Long had never been particularly gifted. He always had to work exceptionally hard just to accomplish what other demons found easy.
The kind of demon he hated most was one who was lazy and loved to eat.
When they first met, Hong Long said coldly, "Don't slow me down."
Zhan Chi hooked his tail over a tree branch and hung upside down, grinning as he tilted his head. "I'm not interested in dragging my feet. I'd love to step on your head and try riding a dragon."
All bark and no skill, yet wildly arrogant. Hong Long was furious with him, and from then on, the two couldn't stand each other.
As the trials began, everyone thought Zhan Chi and Hong Long would be the first team to wash out. Hong Yue thought so too, until he discovered...
In the dangerous forest, Zhan Chi could get an untamable beast king to clear the way for him.
In the underground ghost city, Zhan Chi could befriend the antisocial ghost prince.
When everyone was trapped in prison, Zhan Chi came walking between the passages, stepping over bones and wiping the blood from his face with one hand. He had single-handedly wiped out the villains' lair.
Everyone was dumbfounded. Only then did they realize that Zhan Chi hadn't been joking before.
Hong Long understood too: Zhan Chi really was strong enough to step on his head. He just had never actually bullied him.
Zhan Chi's father thought that this time Zhan Chi would suffer plenty, and that if he continued lazing around without learning his lesson, the world itself might reject him.
But when he looked at the results of the trials, Zhan Chi ranked first in every category: most beloved half-demon, half-demon everyone most wanted to marry, strongest half-demon, and half-demon with the best weapon skills...
And Hong Long, who usually had the worst relationship with Zhan Chi, had long since become his loyal little dragon behind the scenes.
When Zhan Chi was hungry, Hong Long learned to cook. When Zhan Chi was tired, Hong Long carried him without being asked.
When Zhan Chi wanted to step on his dragon horns, Hong Long gently rubbed his head against him, as if to say, "Here, step on them as much as you like."
Whenever another suitor came looking for Zhan Chi, Hong Long had a thousand curses racing through his mind. On the surface, however, he still had to act like a gentle, kind dragon so that Zhan Chi would like him even more.
One true pairing, both sexually inexperienced, happy ending. The top pursues the bottom.
The bottom is the strongest in the entire story, with looks and strength both at the pinnacle.
The top used to be career-focused, but after meeting the bottom, he became a sweet-talking lovesick fool.
