They say it's hard for girls who follow celebrities to get boyfriends,
because they can't find anyone who measures up to their idol.
Cheng Xiangqin used to think so too,
until...
her idol's concert got her a boyfriend.

"Summer, Only in the Morning"
Xia Weijing is a typical city girl who can't do three things: ride a bike, cook, or handle the dark, ghosts, bugs, or small animals.
After finally passing the civil service exam, she is unfortunately assigned to a remote little town.
The town is scenic, sparsely populated, and has an easy workload, but it's no place for her to survive.
Worse still, the mayor assigns her to manage the young people who have returned to their hometown and help them boost the local economy.
The job requires her to visit every corner of town and call on each of the young shopkeepers.
She explains her difficulties to the mayor, but he tells her, "You'll learn to ride a bike in no time."
Xia Weijing has no choice but to teach herself, and until she learns, she gets around on foot.
One of the people she has to work with is Ji Chen, the owner of a cafe.
He's sunny and refined, and reasonably kind, but his tongue is practically dipped in poison. Every time they meet, he makes fun of her.
Since he volunteered to teach her to ride a bike, Xia Weijing puts up with it.
But the longer she puts up with him, the more she ends up becoming the cafe owner's wife.

Ji Chen and his grandfather depend on each other. After years of working in a big city, he resolutely quits and returns to his hometown to care for his ailing, elderly grandfather.
He opens a cafe to make a living.
A few years later, a natural disaster strikes, his grandfather passes away, and business at the cafe begins to decline.
Ji Chen plans to close the cafe and return to the big city to become another small cog in the machine.
Before he can put that plan into action, a young woman arrives in town: impulsive, clumsy, but full of enthusiasm.
She isn't suited to life in this little town, Ji Chen thinks.
Later, he watches her learn, watches her try, and watches her gradually become part of the town.
His cafe also comes back to life thanks to her novel ideas.
The whole town begins to thrive because of her, though she herself has no idea.
As the most handsome of the young people who've returned to their hometown, Ji Chen decides to step up and do whatever it takes to make her reluctant to leave town.
And ideally, reluctant to leave him, too.
Theme: Chasing our idols makes us better people
