The Unathletic Ice Prince's Daily Life

[Chapter comments are open] Shibasaki Mei has never exercised or even taken a PE class. That has never stopped her from living just fine. Until she enrolls at Hyotei in high school. On the very first day of school, fate gives her a brutal smackdown. The warm-up lap around the track in PE sends her straight to the nurse's office. As a result, her teacher warns that she might not be able to graduate. So she begins a life of daily after-class PE tutoring. In practice, this means running a few laps around the track after school, then getting watched by the Hyotei tennis club because she's so hopelessly out of shape. The Hyotei tennis club has recently discovered a strange sight. There's a girl who always runs around the track with them during their warm-ups before practice. By the time they've run four or five laps, she's managed to finish one. She runs slowly and does very few laps, but she has fainted and been taken to the nurse's office by them several times. At first, the Hyotei tennis club thought it was some new trick to get the boys to notice her. Eventually, all they could do was marvel: how can anyone have such terrible stamina? Content warnings: If any of the following bother you, please steer clear. 1. Hyotei will win, and keep winning, because they have the protagonist's halo in this story. 2. This is my first story, a revival of my old-school Prince of Tennis fanfic phase. Some chapters will feature rather old-fashioned prince-like dialogue. 3. Readers and I, looking back now, all think Seigaku is out of character. If that bothers you, you may want to avoid this story or skip the chapters where Seigaku appears. 4. The author's notes mention real-life cases that inspired some of the things that happen to Mei. Some are based on my own experiences. I wasn't writing myself into the story, but perhaps the way I wrote it at the time could be misunderstood. In any case, if that bothers you, please steer clear. *Primarily Prince of Tennis. The heroine's family and friends are from Detective Conan. *The timeline is set in high school. *The heroine's stamina is exaggerated to some extent. This is for entertainment only, so don't take it too seriously. *The whole story is guaranteed to be lighthearted, with no angst. *Completed works: The Unlucky Girl's Daily Life in Rikkai, and the modern romance Will They Hand Out Boyfriends at Concerts? *Currently updating: the modern romance My Socially Anxious Neighbor Wasn't Who I Thought *Coming soon: Shitenhoji's See You at the Takoyaki Shop After School See You at the Takoyaki Shop After School Fueda Eri is a second-generation takoyaki maker. To that end, she made a bet with her parents: if she meets her business goals, she can open her first branch. Her business grows rapidly, and before long she sets off a craze at Shitenhoji and gains a huge fan base. One particularly devoted junior student hangs around the shop every day, eating dozens of plates of takoyaki by himself. Fueda Eri is happy to see it, but... You there, "guardian," why do you come by every single day too? Currently updating: My Socially Anxious Neighbor Wasn't Who I Thought Famous novelist x popular voice actor The year she lost her parents, Yao Yingmo swore to herself that she would take care of the child her parents had saved with their lives. But she would never follow in their footsteps. She would be a tough, cold person and would never let her guard down for people around her who needed help. Yet when the fire alarm goes off, she still knocks on the door next door and leads the socially anxious man outside. When he faints at his doorstep from low blood sugar, she brings him candy and helps him come around. She attributes each of her repeated exceptions to her usual rules to the fact that, like that child, he's socially anxious, so she extends her affection to him as well. Until one day, she realizes he isn't socially anxious at all. Yao Yingmo: I've already gone this far to help him. I might as well see it through. * Shi Xuze has admired the novelist Zhao He for a long time. He's followed her work since her first book, for more than a decade.
