Ye Qingshan's perspective:
Ye Qingshan wakes up to find that he has lost all his memories and is injured, while someone nearby is looking after him.
The person calls him husband and claims that they were hunted by their enemies, and that Ye Qingshan was badly injured protecting him.
As he says this, he suddenly changes, bursting into tears as he throws his arms around Ye Qingshan.
Ye Qingshan silently and doubtfully studies the person before him. He has delicate features, but is clearly a man.
Did he used to like men?
Gradually, Ye Qingshan realizes that Ning Le has told him a lot of lies.
For instance, Ning Le says they used to be physically intimate every day, but when Ye Qingshan merely brushes his face, Ning Le gets nervous, his cheeks flush, and his fingers tremble.
Ning Le's perspective:
Ning Le is a lotus spirit, carried and born by a human, and raised by the sun, moon, and earth. He lives alone for a very long time, until an outsider arrives.
The man's name is Ye Qingshan. Like a tall tree, he keeps Ning Le company and looks after him, asking nothing in return.
But Ye Qingshan is leaving.
Ning Le likes Ye Qingshan. He wants to take root where Ye Qingshan lives.
Ye Qingshan asks him, "Would you like to become my disciple?" Ning Le doesn't really understand, but he says yes.
Ye Qingshan teaches him many things. Ye Qingshan is kind, so Ning Le becomes kind, too. Whatever Ye Qingshan says, Ning Le believes.
But gradually, Ning Le develops other feelings. Perhaps this is what his master meant when he said Ning Le had taken on the colors of the mortal world. He likes Ye Qingshan and wants to have him.
And soon, the chance arrives.
Reading guide:
1. No top- or bottom-focused readers, no swapping roles, and no self-insert fantasies. The couple are exclusive in body and heart, made for each other.
2. The top is formidable, and so is the bottom. The bottom slaughters his way through the world, but is a good boy in front of the top (because he knows the top likes him that way).
3. This is not a level-up cultivation story. It's closer to immortal folklore and tales of the strange, with the romance as the main focus. It should be under 200,000 words. I'll do my best to finish the whole story before posting, so everyone can enjoy a smooth reading experience.
