Lord Han: A Bandit Queen's Path to Redemption in a Chaotic Age

In her previous life, Han Zhi ruled as a bandit in the area around Fuqiu Mountain. She had more than a thousand underlings inherited from her father, as well as her younger stepfather. Life was pretty comfortable, until the world grew more and more chaotic and the number of homeless refugees kept rising. At first, she took in one or two. Then there were more and more, until she'd taken in tens of thousands. The pressure of feeding her men kept mounting.

One day, a young man claiming to be descended from the former imperial family came up the mountain to ask for her help, saying he wanted to help her support her men. He seemed decent enough, so she happily agreed. Later, he said he was short on manpower. I had nothing else, but plenty of brothers, so I invited them to meet on Mangdang Mountain. Times were troubled, and my brothers were also struggling to support their own men. I beat them into submission in no time.

Who could have guessed that young man had such deep designs? Once he won the empire, he tried to kill me. Being killed was no big deal. The victor writes history, and I admit I was a fool. But he killed all my brothers, and I could never let that hatred go!

Now that I've been reborn, I won't enter the palace, give up my troops, relinquish power, or settle for anything less than the highest office. I, Han Zhi, have hundreds of blood debts to repay. Wei Guang, you little snake, this time we'll see who comes out on top.
