The player decides to try a game they've never played before.
The game randomly assigns an identity. After passing by quite a few superpowered people, the player draws the ordinary-person role.
Circus Boy
Player: (My hands tremble slightly as I play.jpg)
The early game really isn't difficult. Every day, all you have to do is grind "Dick's" stats like crazy. It's a bit of a hassle, but that's fine: the player is willing to spend money and is already planning to buy the first-purchase bonus, getting the protagonist a powerful cheat companion.
Picked up: Foster Parent Experience Card (lasts until adulthood), Resurrection Cards x3, Batman companion (affection level: zero)
The player looks at these items and smiles. Some of these cards have negative effects, but that's fine.
When the player clicks on the protagonist, "Dick" occasionally complains that the training is too intense, and tells the player to stop secretly controlling his body to sneak snacks. He's exhausted and lying in bed every day, and the player still keeps bothering him.
"Then do you hate Nightwing?"
Dick doesn't answer. He buries his head under the covers, but the bubble above his head still gives away what he's thinking: "Never. Even if you might just be a product of my mental illness. Also, stop reading my thoughts, Nightwing!"
Then this time, let's take the Nightwing route. Last time, Dick didn't like Owlman.
Some players used the experience card and caused the protagonist's parents to die. Some saved their game and played the Talon route, only to get beaten so badly they could barely hold the controller. Some often control "Dick's" body while he's asleep to play superhero, then feel really wronged when they're scolded during the day. Some occasionally make a mistake and die, then feel so embarrassed to face their old dad that they cry.
Each save is a parallel universe. The player's different choices lead to different events. Players who run out of resurrection cards and have to start over see the grieving expressions of their family members in the parallel universe where they weren't brought back to life.
In the eyes of the NPCs, the use of resurrection cards seems to be automatically rationalized through various means.
Content warnings:
The ending has no couple pairing. One-sided feelings are addressed at different stages, and the admirers may be men or women, after all, everyone loves Grayson.
There may be female-oriented content featuring female tops and male bottoms; some stories won't have it. In male-oriented content, Dick is always the bottom.
The pairings are all over the place. If anything hits a sore spot, just leave. The author writes out of love and writes according to personal tastes. If you criticize me, I'll fall to pieces.
Also, for dual perspectives, I have to assign top and bottom roles, and the author is sweating bullets. What about selfcest...? I could include a little of that too...
Theme: Enjoy the game in moderation.
