Happy reading, my dears! "Students aren't allowed to date their teachers," Cheng Xiayan was reminded. A top rich kid and Ivy League academic star, a young master's graduate who could outshine celebrities on a red carpet, Cheng Xiayan merely nodded to show she'd heard. She didn't promise she wouldn't date one. One rainy night when they couldn't get a taxi, Cheng Xiayan walked over to Teacher Xue and held her umbrella so it covered her completely. Her lovely, cool face suddenly turned serious as she said, "Students aren't allowed to date their teachers." Xue Yao tried to find the right words, but in the end she snatched the umbrella away, her voice rising despite herself. "Who's trying to date you!" Who would want to date a child she'd happened to pick up outside a convenience store years ago? She must be crazy. Later, Cheng Xiayan kept flying back from abroad to openly pursue her. Xue Yao, who was having a hard time holding back, gritted her teeth. "Didn't you say you wouldn't date a teacher?" "First, I'm not your student. Second, I changed my mind. Woof." Xue Yao: ... Xue Yao was a respectable adult in every way. She claimed she never shortchanged herself, but aside from loving alcohol, she was painfully proper. She had the nerve but not the guts, seemed flirtatious on the outside but was conservative within, and had the everyday bug of getting hurt by love. Later, a friend asked her how she'd managed not to lust after Cheng Xiayan. As if she didn't. Otherwise, people would find out she'd been lusting after a kid twelve years younger than her for ages, turning her down righteously during the day and needing to think about her with a little toy at night before she could fall asleep. She'd never hear the end of it. She would never date Cheng Xiayan. Xue Yao later: Woof. A stubborn, tsundere younger useless alpha (yes, uselessness is hereditary) x a mature, secretly sultry older omega Theme: Work hard and a bright future will follow
