[My new story, I Want to Retire, is now being published!]
Li Xuanji is a Daoist disciple who transmigrates to the interstellar age. She fails to ascend and nearly dies at the hands of a star beast.
Luckily, the Huaxia Origin Military District rescues her and grants her spiritual power:
The bad news is that she's F-rank.
But that's fine. Northwest Heavy Industries University on Planet 37 happens to be recruiting, and it offers room and board plus a monthly stipend.
The bad news is that the school is about to be merged with another.
But that's fine. Everyone at the military academy joins together to fight to keep it from being merged.
The bad news is that an accident happens during a competition.
Li Xuanji: ...Enough already. Circumstances leave this little Daoist no choice but to step in.
From that point on, the interstellar factions that try to make things difficult for the academy are forced to bow to the mysteries of the occult, and often find themselves questioning their own sanity:
Li Xuanji says: You have to believe in science.
The next day, military personnel from factions across the star regions jolt awake from nightmares in the middle of the night, wondering, "Is she crazy? Are we the ones who are supposed to be the fortune-tellers?!"
Li Xuanji says: Timing is important.
The next day, researchers from factions across the star regions all buy perpetual calendars.
Li Xuanji says: If something's bothering you, don't bottle it up.
The next day, a lieutenant colonel from the Huaxia Origin Military District personally leads a group of people in beating up the outsiders who are still trying to persuade them to merge schools. He praises Xuanji for her good advice and says he'll say the same thing again next time.
Li Xuanji: ...Great. The world has finally gone so crazy that even this little Daoist doesn't recognize it anymore.
The star-region factions: ...Great. The people of Huaxia Origin didn't perish in silence. They went insane in silence instead!!!
One day, after entering a wormhole with her team and facing a grave crisis, Li Xuanji tries to summon the power of the ancestors to protect her teammates. But during the summoning ritual, she sees a scene from the past in which people summon her.
Li Xuanji, suddenly realizing the truth: Oh no! I'm the ancestor who got summoned?!
Reader's Guide:
This story has a fictional interstellar setting, so please don't compare it to reality. It draws on Daoist texts but also includes my own original worldbuilding. The heroine has a golden finger. Read on or leave as you please, and please keep discussion civil in the comments~
Theme: Reject inner turmoil.
Hahahaha, thank you for reminding me, I will put a spell on you now
Why is it half pulled and half pulled...? The last chapter was about the merging of wormholes, and the next chapter is about the death of supporting characters... What is this [splitting]...
Although I don't want to provide writing guidance, I suggest that the rhythm of some places should be considered. Including the places where direct speech is often used, it is obvious that the dialogue can be written directly, but such a direct summary is not appropriate in detail, and the frequency is a bit high. In fact, the mood changes of the characters can also be considered (I'm talking about Ling En's heartbeat), which are too blunt. I still like the subject matter.
Hahahaha, the middle finger is pointed up, like an ox [dog head]
The writing is a bit messy, but the plot is still there [Applause] Come on
Indeed, after letting myself go, I feel much more relaxed.
Hehehe, he looks very much like us ordinary people. I understand the truth, but I can't do it! Flexible Buddha system. [Dog head]
Hahahahahahaha
"European Union" is a big thorn in the side of the author~
European system
It's so rare to see that now, except for the protagonist group, all the young supporting characters make people want to beat them up.
