Everyone knows that people die without food. Chuan Lian, the human captain, miscalculated Yun Gui's appetite. Just three days after they entered the World Tree, their food had already run out.
Not human, and suffering from amnesia, but with teeth that seem better suited for eating than their stomach: Yun Gui: "I'll know whether something can be eaten as soon as I bite into it. Don't worry, we won't starve."
The captain, Chuan Lian, is worn out with worry and feels like a mom despite being so young: "Don't eat that! It's poisonous! That one's disgusting! No, wait, that's a person. You can't eat them!"
Cheng Yinuo, an otherworldly college student who survived a bite from Yun Gui: "What the heck just bit me? Wait, I can cook! Get me out of this hellhole!"
Apate, the elf in the distant dungeon, scrapes her claws on the ground, crawling around in the shadows: "Why haven't they come to find me yet?"
