After the Villainous Cannon Fodder Became the Insect Queen

Yao Zhi is a villainous cannon-fodder character in a melodramatic, abusive novel about a wealthy family. By the time he awakens to the truth, the story has already reached the point where he has done every terrible thing imaginable. His identity as a fake young master has been exposed, and everyone despises and hates him as a madman. His former elder brother has him forcibly committed to an asylum, claiming he suffers from severe dissociative identity disorder.

When the mutation that would affect the entire world occurred, Yao Zhi was trying to seduce his attending physician and steal the key to escape his ward.

After being enveloped in strange red light, some people awakened all kinds of powerful abilities. Yao Zhi, however, collapsed into a man's arms, a pair of butterfly wings bursting from his snow-white back, their deep blue phosphorescence flickering.

Yao Zhi awakened as an insect queen.

Driven by instinct, Yao Zhi wantonly fed on humanity's abundant love. His attending physician, seemingly gentle but actually a pervert; his neighbor, a patient like a rabid dog; and his ascetic, self-controlled elder brother: people who had once scorned Yao Zhi as depraved and dangerous all willingly became the little madman's devoted servants, seduced by him.

But Yao Zhi only wanted to exact merciless revenge on those who had hurt him. After successfully escaping the asylum, he abandoned them without a second thought.

Yet the men he had abandoned eventually came looking for him. Scarlet eyes gleamed in the darkness as the male insects murmured deliriously:

"You can't leave us, ma, ma."

After insect genes invaded Earth, humans gained abilities at the cost of merging with insect genes. The insects' instincts urged them on as well: Hurry, find the only insect queen hiding among humans.
