How Did the Straight-Ace Campus Heartthrob Become a Housewife?

[A sunny, straight-laced campus heartthrob who is turned into a neurotic, lovesick wife by the love interest in the latter half x A mad, obsessive attack who fell in love with his wife at first sight and will never let go, even in death]

When Mu Fangning was twenty, a car accident robbed him of all his memories. The only person by his side was a strange man who claimed to be his husband.

His husband treated Mu Fangning very well. He bought him bags, cars, and houses, and rented entire islands and cruise ships for his birthday. He would have plucked the stars from the sky for Mu Fangning.

After graduating from university, Mu Fangning naturally married his husband and somehow became the envy of everyone in Hong Kong: Mrs. Gu.

The car accident had damaged Mu Fangning’s mind. Sometimes, he could recall a moment from the past, but before he could think it through, the pain would bring tears to his eyes. His husband would hold him, rub his temples, and soothe him: “Forget the past if you want. Isn’t it enough that you have me, Ningning?”

Mu Fangning drifted through life. His husband was all he had. When his husband wasn’t around, he would panic and cry, calling him to come home.

His husband indulged him without limit. One phone call from Mu Fangning was all it took for him to leave a meeting and rush across the city to sleep beside his wife. He let his wife be a beautiful dodder vine, clinging to him for the rest of his life.

Sometimes, trapped in his husband’s arms, Mu Fangning would wonder hazily: Is this really the life I want?

Then one day, Mu Fangning followed his husband to mainland China and met a strange man.

The man called him Senior. He looked at Mu Fangning as if he were a white bird trapped in shackles.

The man was dragged away by his husband’s bodyguards.

But Mu Fangning secretly kept an old, crumpled photograph the man had left him.

When he opened it, he saw an eighteen-year-old Mu Fangning, radiant with youth. On the back, there were only two words: Run away.
