A Night of Wild Roses

Jiang Ling was brought back to the Jiang family to take her half-sister's place as the fiancée of the Qin family's comatose, vegetative young master.

She cared for Young Master Qin with devotion for two years.

Qin Zhaoxu was lucky enough to wake up.

When he found out his fiancée had been replaced, he flew into a rage and broke off the engagement with Jiang Ling.

Her sister was quite the schemer. After one tearful scene, she was soon back on intimate terms with Young Master Qin.

Jiang Ling became a laughingstock after the engagement was called off.

Her usefulness had run its course, and the Jiang family had no place for her.

Later, on a rainy night, a Maybach pulled up in front of Jiang Ling. The man inside asked, "Miss Jiang, would you like a ride?"

Inside the car, the man's breath was a little hot.

Jiang Ling asked him, "Mr. Xiao, do you know I almost became your sister-in-law?"

Xiao Yanjin chuckled. "I know. Even if you had, it wouldn't matter."

He had no morals.

Later, the eldest Qin heir often found himself missing the voice that had read poetry to him in his coma.

It took him a while to realize what he felt.

His gaze kept drifting to the other daughter of the Jiang family, the one whose engagement he'd broken off.

When he tried to pursue her, his young, successful cousin confronted him. "What are you trying to do with your sister-in-law?"

Sister-in-law?
