She Wants to Die, But She Can't [Infinite]

After Xie Yuqiu's parents died, they left her a huge inheritance. All sorts of unknown relatives came knocking, thinking that a helpless orphan like her would be easy to bully.

At just that moment, Xie Yuqiu was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.

A classic case of having money but no time to spend it.

Fed up, Xie Yuqiu drew up her will and spent a fortune moving into the mountains to wait for death.

She planned to spend the last days of her life with her ten-jin cat.

Then, one perfectly ordinary day, she watched as strange changes took place in her several-hundred-square-meter mansion. Her hopelessly lazy cat's fur stood on end as it snarled at the empty air.

Xie Yuqiu sensed something was wrong. A cold voice suddenly rang in her ear: "An unusually low will to survive has been detected. Congratulations, player, you have been bound to the 'Life-or-Death App.' As long as you survive the game, any wish you make will be granted."

?

In the blink of an eye, her surroundings changed. Xie Yuqiu suddenly found herself in an antique-style room, dressed in a bright red wedding gown.

Cosplay?

Did anyone ask her opinion before binding her to this thing?

Then, just as the story began, the groom died under mysterious circumstances, and the bride was ordered to be buried with him.

Straight into hell?

Xie Yuqiu discovered that her body was healthy inside the game. She made a brief attempt to struggle, but it was useless. She died.

Whether she died sooner or later, she was still going to die. The only thing she couldn't let go of was her fat cat. She hoped someone would come bury her soon and find a good home for her brat of a cat.

But when she closed and opened her eyes, she was back at the moment the red bridal veil covered her face.

"..."

Was she stuck in a loop?

She couldn't even get the satisfaction of dying. For the first time, Xie Yuqiu experienced what it meant to be unable to live or die as she pleased.

This stupid game, stupid plot, stupid setup.

After dying several times, Xie Yuqiu took a deep breath and decided to try staying alive for a little while.

This stupid app failed to rekindle Xie Yuqiu's will to live. She wanted to die more and more.

But she'd gotten herself into trouble.

At the end of the first instance, the System gave her a chance to make a wish.

Xie Yuqiu wished to leave this stupid game immediately, healthy and well.

Denied.

So Xie Yuqiu casually pointed to a painting hanging in the ancestral hall. It showed a handsome long-haired man asleep.

The System froze for a moment, then agreed to her unreasonable request.

Xie Yuqiu didn't know at the time that the painting was alive.
