Xu Qingfeng is the psychology club's second-in-command. She's equally good at composing poetry and keeping the peace, and the members trust her deeply. Lately, though, she's been a little troubled.

A girl confessed to her during a night run, but the wind was too loud and she couldn't hear. Now everyone knows her as someone who doesn't understand romance. People say all she does is read, and she doesn't deny it. Books really are fascinating. But does she not understand love? She doesn't agree with that.

She feels something different for Xia Yiqiu, the class beauty from the class next door, and keeps agonizing over whether she should confess.

One day at the night market, Xu Qingfeng recalls a saying: "Couples who promise each other love beneath fireworks will end up together."

She doesn't have a partner, and she doesn't even like watching fireworks. But when the fireworks explode, she meets the gaze of a girl dressed in red and knows she's done for. She wants that girl to watch fireworks with her for the rest of her life.

So she shoves a rose into the girl's arms and stuffs the stinky tofu in her hand into the girl's mouth. The girl not only doesn't refuse, she lets Xu Qingfeng hold her hand.

Let's be honest: Xu Qingfeng likes Xia Yiqiu.

The Weicheng Middle School forum suddenly goes viral.

A student psychology skit co-starring the two top students and class beauties from the liberal arts and science classes hits the trending list. Students start shipping them, posts discussing the details of their relationship draw huge crowds, and the fanfiction is written in vivid detail.

Xu Qingfeng's friend Gao Zhi is utterly baffled, leaping around the forum to follow the gossip. He casually sends Xu Qingfeng a link.

"Is what they're saying here true?"

Xu Qingfeng answers righteously, "Don't spread rumors." Nobody knows how happy she is inside.

At some point, Xia Yiqiu starts feeling as if a ray of light is watching her. After looking among all the people around her, she realizes it's that little bookworm. And so, amid the deep autumn, she encounters the passionate Qingfeng, and the chill fades away.
