What Does the Main Plot Have to Do with a Paladin?

Years after being reborn, Lysander finally loaded his System in a daze, only to discover that he'd been reborn inside a novel he'd once opened in his previous life.

So much time had passed that, aside from vaguely remembering that the novel existed, Lysander had completely forgotten even who the protagonist was. If not for the System's reminder, he wouldn't have been able to match the few remaining fragments of memory to the book.

As for the tasks the System mentioned... who cares! He'd survived all these years without a cheat or a golden finger. Sure, he hadn't become a cheerful, sunny boy, but his life was fine as it was, and sticking to his own life plan seemed perfectly good to him.

That's all well and good, but after the System loaded, why did people keep trying to make him follow the main plot?

Third person, top-focused, everyone has unrequited feelings for him. Everyone else is a mess, but Lysander alone is cheerful and sunny.

I've been doing underworld stories for too long, so it's time to write about people in the living world!

Before You Read:

1. Updates are still irregular, and there's no outline.

2. This isn't being written alongside another story. It's more of a distraction when I'm stuck, so updates and word count are both unpredictable. It's a complete lucky dip.

Theme: Stay true to your goals and don't waver.
