Still Doing My Best to Play the Bizarre Boss

Before her death, Qiansheng worked as an NPC in a haunted house. After dying, she unexpectedly became bound to the "Creepy Boss Roleplaying System."

The System makes a deal with her: if she convincingly plays the creepy Boss and earns positive reviews from ten thousand players, she can be reborn.

Qiansheng: Isn't this my old line of work? Don't worry, you'll be satisfied!

Then she gets her role scripts...

The ghost bride, sacrificed by her devoted male lead to bring his lost love back to life; the ten-pregnancy ghost mother, cut open by a grieving father who has lost his children; the headless beauty corpse, skinned and disemboweled by a heartless exorcist!

These were supposed to be creepy Bosses. How come every one of them has such a tragic backstory?

Qiansheng: ...Fine. It's not like I can't play them.

Player A: The top-ranked player posted a guide. Turns out you can even dance on the ghost bride's grave, as long as you don't look her in the eye.

Also Player A: She's got a cleaver in one hand and kicks through iron gates. You're telling me this creepy Boss is actually a physical-damage powerhouse? Did the game designers lose their minds?

Player B: A ghost mother who gives birth to babies sounds exciting. I love this kind of freaky Boss.

Also Player B: What a garbage dungeon. The plot is awful. I have a maxed-out build and still got swarmed and killed by ten ghost babies. Does this balancing really make sense?

Player C: Hehe, I heard the Boss is a gorgeous female ghost. Let her go, I'll take her!

Also Player C: Help! This was supposed to be non-scary! My sanity is completely gone. Game designers, get out here and face me!

Players: Bad reviews! Bad reviews! Bad reviews for everyone!!

Monsters: The Boss is amazing. Hurry up and teach us how to deal with players.

Later, the creepy game invades reality...

Qiansheng, who somehow became the Lord of Monsters, weeps bitterly. All I wanted was a good review.

Theme: Believe in science, reject superstition.
