At the end of her graduation trip, Fu Ning is stranded abroad after her flight is canceled.

The airport is full of people hurrying about, and she is casually sent off with a cold, unofficial airport worker who does odd jobs. She's Chinese, too.

Trusting a fellow Chinese person by instinct, Fu Ning follows the cool woman with her suitcase into a nearby village, never imagining it would be a slum.

Even less did she imagine that the woman, who had been cold the whole time, would come looking for her in the rain and take her home.

Least of all did she imagine that in just one week together, she'd do everything she should and shouldn't do with that woman.

Two people joined Zhifu Group around the same time.

One was a wealthy young woman who had returned home after studying business abroad, and was parachuted straight into the role of general manager.

The other was the chief engineer of a rising core division at a rival group, who jumped ship and parachuted into the company.

With a slightly rumpled white suit draped over her shoulders, the girl was surrounded by people, smiling brightly as she walked closer. Wang Sifan stared at that palm-sized face and remembered Fu Ning, eyes red, asking before boarding her flight if she really wasn't going to give her anything at all...

Other than her Chinese and English names, Wang Sifan never shared any information about herself, even though the two of them had once been incredibly close.

To Wang Sifan, it had been an accident, a one-night stand, and unsafe.

So Fu Ning left, and that should have been the end of it all.

So what was this now?

What was going on?

"Wang Sifan, 26, from City A, former chief engineer at a rival group."

The newly appointed general manager casually tossed a file onto the table herself, her voice lilting at the end.

"I hear you didn't part ways with your old company on good terms. So I'll leave this new project, the one we're bidding on against them, to you."
