Because of an unexpected change, the play Jiang Shicha was directing could only go on if she took over a supporting role just before the curtain went up.

Then he shut the door behind him.

The man introduced himself politely and kindly. “Nice to meet you. I’m Li Wu. My mother is friends with your aunt, so I’ll be imposing on your family for a while.”
Jiang Shicha: Weren’t you so full of yourself when you called me an idiot backstage? Now that you’re staying under someone else’s roof, you’re pretending it never happened?
