After 100 Loops, Even a Basic Attack Is a Finishing Move

An Xiaoyu is the bottom protagonist of a danmei game.

He's delicate, beautiful, and tender. His daily life consists of hiding behind Tops 1, 2, 3, and 4, trembling with fear. Every time a hero rescues the beauty, it's an opportunity for him to grow closer to his love interests.

An Xiaoyu is sick of it.

He remembers every playthrough, and his levels carry over each time a new one begins. He's learned every skill and awakened every attribute. Even a basic attack from him could blow his enemies to smithereens.

But because the plot says so, he still has to hide behind Tops 1, 2, 3, and 4 and act helpless.

An Xiaoyu really wants to blow this stupid game up.

This is the restart of his 101st playthrough.

As usual, An Xiaoyu wished his scummy ex-boyfriend good morning when the latter woke him up, then added, "This is the 101st time," just because he couldn't help himself. His ex asked,

"An'an, what's the 101st time?"

An Xiaoyu froze.

Game characters weren't supposed to react to anything he said aloud that wasn't part of the script.

The plot no longer restricted him, and he still retained the levels and skills from his hundred previous playthroughs.

The loop that had repeated hundreds of times, and its unchanged mechanics, began turning anew on this day.
