What should you do when the apocalypse is coming?
Blueberry, a lovebird, ruffled her feathers and hid a few of her favorite sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, grains of rice, and little berries in the pocket dimension nestled between her feathers.
When the apocalypse came, the soil was ruined, and every green plant disappeared. The seed bank was destroyed too, leaving not a trace of life.
When people finally began rebuilding, they discovered that the most vital seeds for food had been hidden on a lovebird named Blueberry!
Meanwhile, Blueberry was taking her poor little owner, who was partially paralyzed, to enjoy a lush forest in the most secluded corner of the planet.
They ate snacks and drank tea, and occasionally got into scuffles with other parrots.
She would even secretly pluck out a feather and give it to her poor little owner, Molly Nai, who couldn't lay eggs.
When humans trespassed on their territory, the eyes of her usually harmless little owner glittered with obsessive determination.
Brilliant wings suddenly unfurled from her shoulder blades, and her feathers turned into arrows that pierced her enemies. She had already become an S-rank ability user in the apocalypse.
After driving everyone away, Molly Nai cradled Blueberry in both hands, gently tapped her beak with her lips, and coaxed her.
"Humans are all bad. You can only stay by my side, okay?"
Perhaps the scare she'd gotten that day made Blueberry tremble and run a fever nonstop. The only place she could nap was tucked against her little owner's chest.
In the pitch-black night, the sudden rustle of feathers rang out.
Molly Nai felt a weight on her chest and laboriously reached over to turn on the bedside lamp.
Only then did she see a girl with golden hair covering her eyes, struggling to adjust to the sudden light. Behind her, a pair of shimmering blue-green wings slowly unfurled...
