Because so many people have died, the world of Detective Conan has mutated.

A temporary Bureau for Investigating, Researching, and Containing Urban Legends has been set up.

The person in charge of this dilapidated research institute is me, the unlucky bastard Miyafuji Masashige.

[Incident One] On a stormy night, I went out and ran into an urban legend. But thanks to it, I also met my muse.

I could almost see Cupid shoot an arrow straight into my heart.

What? My muse is part of an opposing organization? I'll persuade him to switch sides!

[Incident Two] Those cursed eyes made me see another death notice. But this time, the person who was going to die... was my friend, Matsuda Jinpei.

Just as Matsuda Jinpei was defusing the bomb on the Ferris wheel, with the explosion imminent and time running out, the countdown suddenly stopped. A small note appeared:

Me, who had just been transported to a villa through a strange doorbell: ???

Urban legend: Surprised? Didn't see that coming?

[Incident Three] I was invited to the Sindora Corporation to try out its latest virtual reality game, but discovered I couldn't log out. The AI Noah's Ark had taken control of the Cocoon, revealing the most deeply buried thoughts of everyone playing...

And what everyone saw me doing was pulling out a chainsaw, covered in blood, laughing maniacally as I shouted, "Anyone who gets in my way can die! Hahaha!"

1. A leveling-up power fantasy. Don't overthink it or nitpick the details. (By the time you read this, the author will have corrupted you. Anything unreasonable will seem reasonable, awkward sentences will go unnoticed, and plot holes will make perfect sense... You may even decide this isn't just some ordinary power fantasy, but an unparalleled masterpiece.)

2. The author is a typo-prone, detail-changing creature who often posts fake updates.

3. I considered lots of titles, like the more impressive-sounding Evolution Frenzy, but in the end I went with the crowd and picked this one, haha.
