A story in the same series as So You Have This High-Speed Machine. You don't need to have read the previous book to enjoy this one.
Terminus's life has been short, whether in her previous life or this one.
In her previous life, Terminus was an ordinary college girl who got hit by a dump truck while crossing the road. In this life, after lying low on Cybertron and trying to escape the war, she got swallowed by Unicron.
She died at the age of three million.
Thinking she'd finally been done for, Terminus discovers she's arrived in a new world. There, she finds a sign that reads:
[Want to come back to life? Play the game!]
Terminus thinks carefully about her life: ...Actually, she isn't sure she wants to come back.
The sign quickly changes to:
[Play the game and get a peaceful life!]
Terminus is tempted.
After joining the game, Terminus looks at the monsters covering the first level, then at her own body, which is good for nothing but running away, and falls silent.
That's when the superheroes who drop out of the sky can take care of everything.
The superheroes handle the damage. Terminus handles carrying them and running away.
Jason: ...I can't believe this is what a Cybertronian is like.
Terminus: Don't mention it. (Takes out a sniper rifle and aims at a target fifty meters away) (Misses completely) (Leaves in disappointment) (Transforms into a plane and flies away)
When it's all over, Terminus drops out of the sky into Gotham. Before the other superheroes and Cybertronians can get to her, Batman scoops up the confused little car and takes her home.
Requisitioned as the Batmobile.
Terminus: ...That works, I guess.
The heroine is Terminus from a parallel world. You don't need to have read the previous book to enjoy this one!
(Even a parallel-world Terminus can't escape her fate of becoming the Batmobile, hahaha.)
