After transmigrating, Edith thought that once she graduated from university, she would be able to lie flat for the rest of her life, living happily off rental income in one of London's wealthy neighborhoods.
But all those lovely fantasies were shattered one ordinary afternoon.
She received the long-overdue letter from an owl.
With Hogwarts just around the corner, she felt a little apprehensive.
Fortunately, her parents came through. With a grand wave of the hand, they told her she had a hidden identity in the Wizarding World.
It turned out she was a major landlord collecting rent in the wizarding world, too!
Looking at her family's shops in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, Edith wiped away her drool.
Hot pot, milk tea, spicy skewers, barbecue...
I'll take all of it!
But being allowed to visit Hogsmeade only once a week was really inconvenient.
So Edith decided to officially launch a food delivery service at school!

Reading Guide:
1. Readers can now leave paragraph comments.
2. The author has read too many Harry Potter fanfics that focus heavily on the first two years, so this story skips the first and second years and starts in the third.
3. This Harry Potter story is the author's self-indulgent passion project, with a mountain of original headcanon. Updates may be irregular.
Here's a new Gourmet farming story I'm working on. If you're interested, please add it to your favorites!
"A Nineteenth-Century Aristocrat's Kitchen [Gourmet]"
What would it be like to wake up and discover you'd transmigrated to nineteenth-century England?
Worse still, the original Marty's mother had just died, and the family was drowning in debt.
Just as she had run out of options, news spread through the village that the Earl's household was hiring servants.
In the long winter months, food and work meant hope for survival.
Looking at the few shriveled barley cakes left in the house, Marty did everything she could and successfully landed a job as a kitchen assistant at the Earl's estate.
The kitchen at the Earl's estate was the busiest place Marty had ever seen.
Every day, she was busy kneading and fermenting wheat dough, scraping the rinds off hard cheeses, and helping to salt meat that would be kept for the entire winter.
Now and then, she would catch a glimpse of the delicacies served to the aristocrats at the high table: stuffed goose liver pie, thick meat stews, and sweet wine pudding made with honey and spices.
Life was hard, but thanks to her modern cooking skills and her knack for combining different ingredients, Marty managed to enjoy it.
She improved the bread recipe and tried soaking dried fruit. The stew she cooked with her specially made spices earned praise even from the most critical Countess.
From a poor village to the kitchen of a great noble house, Marty's rise through the ranks had only just begun...
