Male lead: Deputy captain of the criminal investigation brigade. Female lead: Doctoral student in psychology.

[Female Lead's Perspective]

At the end of the twelfth lunar month, Lin Qingye received a phone call at school.

It was from her roommate, who had died six months earlier.

From then on, the people around Lin Qingye began dying one after another, until she was left alone, with no one in the world.

"Xiao Lin, he's come for you. You hid for twenty years, but he still found you."

[Male Lead's Perspective]

Cheng Beiyi, deputy captain of the criminal investigation brigade at the Taian District Public Security Bureau in Jiangzhou.

A workaholic and a stern commander, he thinks of nothing but work. He's so devoted to his job that even the bureau chief makes time to keep an eye on his love life.

Then he meets Lin Qingye, a doctoral student in psychology who is interning at the Taian District Public Security Bureau.

The iceberg melts, and spring blossoms.

His colleagues are amazed, then start betting on how long this steel-straight man will take to break through Miss Lin's psychological defenses.

But before they can even place their bets, they discover that one bizarre case after another is somehow connected to Lin Qingye.

Important notes:

* As usual, both leads have had no prior sexual partners or relationships. They are each other's first love.

* More plot than romance. The main storyline revolves around the female lead's past.

* Please don't feel sorry for any living thing in this story except the male lead, who is a steel-straight man. This includes her, him, and it (not really)!

Theme: Please, be a good person.
