The delinquents at Nanhuai High have three calamities.

First, their leader, Zhou Yun, insists on going straight, no matter what.

Second, top student Yin Qi is determined to wield a brick and make an example of them, delivering justice on Heaven's behalf.

Third, the two are secretly involved, having an illicit affair, and are so downright heartless that they're determined to send them all to the paradise of university.

Delinquents (gazing at the sky through tears): That evening, when the top student chased me while making me recite the periodic table, my freedom died!

Years later, newly crowned Best Actor Yin Qi and Zhou Yun, a doctor who had returned from overseas, reunited at a small bar outside their high school during a class reunion. Their old friends all wanted to know what had happened in their senior year, when the two had become bitter enemies who fought whenever they met, until one of them was forced to transfer schools.

Yin Qi: "Are you going on blind dates lately?"

Zhou Yun: "What's it to you? Who do you think you are, telling me what to do?"

Yin Qi: "Would being your ex-boyfriend be enough?"

Onlookers: "Whoa! What a bombshell! They aren't going to kill us to keep us quiet, are they?"

Drunk out of his mind, Yin Qi insisted that Zhou Yun take him back to the hotel. Once they got there and shut the door, Yin Qi took the little doctor by force and had his way with him. Sitting on the balcony, Zhou Yun lit a cigarette afterward and asked Yin Qi with a despondent look, "A big star like you has so much free time that you came all this way to sleep with your ex?"

Yin Qi: "I'm busy."

Zhou Yun: "Busy with what?"

Yin Qi: "Busy turning my ex-boyfriend into my husband."

Reader's guide:

1. Yin Qi always has a dead-fish expression for everyone else. Only with Zhou Yun is he openly flirtatious, secretly showing off, and eager to devour him at once.

2. Back in school, Yin Qi carefully studied the art of acting like a sweet, harmless person. Zhou Yun, who knows his true nature, has suffered greatly from it.
