Mu Xingru never expected to get involved with a bar owner, though it seemed perfectly normal.

She was just an ordinary little breakfast shop owner. Her life ran between home and the shop downstairs, with the occasional trip. But one day, a friend's curiosity brought her into contact with a bar owner.

The first time she saw that woman, she was surrounded by people. Mu Xingru watched her chat and laugh, so at ease with everything, and admitted to herself that she was smitten. That's how she learned the woman's name: Jing Lan.

The second time they met was the following morning, outside the breakfast shop. Mu Xingru recognized Jing Lan from the night before, but it seemed Jing Lan didn't remember her.

The third time was during a scene at TS. Jing Lan's ex-husband showed up to trash the place, and for some reason Mu Xingru took a glass bottle meant for Jing Lan. She was badly injured and ended up in the hospital.

"You didn't have to take that bottle for me. But since you got hurt because of me, I should take care of you."

That act seemed to bring them closer...

"Boss Jing, are you from around here?"

"Boss Jing, has anyone ever told you how charming you are?"

"Boss Jing, I think I'm starting to like you."

"Jing Lan, can I pursue you?"
