Wen Yuanzhi was a gift from the Wen family to Gu Mian.

Everyone in City A's high society knew this. Wen Yuanzhi was beautiful and clingy, and at parties he would curl up in Gu Mian's arms like a well-behaved kitten.

Gu Mian was busy with the many demands of his company. Sometimes Wen Yuanzhi wouldn't see him for half a month, so he had no idea that Gu Mian's twin brother, Gu Xian, had returned to the country. Seeing the messages flashing nonstop on his brother Gu Mian's phone, Gu Xian teased, "So this is the clingy cat? Mind if I pet him?"

Gu Mian didn't even look up. "Sure, but don't touch him."

So, whenever Gu Mian was busy, Gu Xian would use his identity to go on dates with Wen Yuanzhi.

Wen Yuanzhi never noticed a thing.

Watching that beautiful face full of affection while hearing him call Gu Mian's name only made Gu Xian more and more irritated. He gripped Wen Yuanzhi's chin and asked coldly, "Do you know the Gu family has another son named Gu Xian?"

Wen Yuanzhi blinked and calmly replied, "I know. Isn't that you?"

Wen Yuanzhi was the Wen family's useless illegitimate son, but he didn't care. He had no interest in the Wen family either. The only reason he was so obedient was that his grandmother needed expensive medical treatment every month.

Later, the Wen family made a bad investment and faced bankruptcy. Desperate for help, they sent Wen Yuanzhi to Gu Mian, promising they would no longer interfere in his affairs afterward.

Wen Yuanzhi agreed readily.

Gu Mian was aloof but fierce. Fortunately, he was a workaholic and rarely came to see Wen Yuanzhi, so Wen Yuanzhi could enjoy some peace. The only problem was that life was a little boring.

But that was about to change.

The older brother was stern and quiet, while the younger one was unruly and wild. No matter how well he tried to hide it, he was bound to slip up eventually. Wen Yuanzhi saw everything but didn't call him out. Instead, he kissed the younger brother on the cheek, looking lovestruck. "I'm so happy. You've been so much more affectionate with me lately, darling."

Then Wen Yuanzhi's grandmother passed away peacefully, and he decided to end this game and find somewhere quiet to live out his days.

Before leaving, he hugged the younger brother and sobbed, "I know you're not him. If only I'd been sent to you from the beginning."

Gu Xian nearly lost his mind. Gu Mian, who had just arrived in time to hear those words, nearly lost his too.
