Shen Xiyun is the pampered young master of the wealthy Shen family, spoiled, willful, and utterly lawless. Xie Jiayun is the housekeeper's son, and Shen Xiyun's personal “dog.”

Shen Xiyun is nothing but a lowly substitute, a bride who was carried into the imperial harem in a small sedan chair when the protagonist fled from his wedding.
On their wedding night, the emperor, denied the one he loves, grips Shen Xiyun by the wrist. Ignoring the person struggling in his arms, he leans close to Shen Xiyun's ear, eyes wild and voice full of menace. “Don't think that marrying into the palace in his place means you can become him. Shen Xiyun remembers his place. When his brother returns, he'll leave of his own accord. But as his life ebbs away, the people around him start acting strangely.

The story has been revised and rewritten repeatedly, and has strayed from the original concept. The love interest is at the center of everyone's affections. The author favors the adored-by-everyone type, so there are lots of people crushing on him and plenty of dramatic clashes!!!
The love interest isn't a traditionally good person. He's a drama king, and his heart is like a durian: he's acting the whole time! There will be lots of descriptions praising his looks. Once he realizes how powerful his beauty is, he'll use it to get away with murder. If you like powerful tops who bottom for love, please know your limits. Thanks, everyone. orz
