Butterfly Tombstone

As civilization advances, sunlight, lawns, and flowers disappear. Childhood is spent among airtight walls and stark white ceilings. Only a tiny fraction of people will ever be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of green in their lives.

Xiang Sheng has a precious garden, but not once has a butterfly visited it.

The first time He Shi saw Xiang Sheng, he thought of his little sister's storybook. The tower princess he'd once looked down on was standing right in front of him.

This princess had no beautiful dress or delicate features. She wore plain hospital pajamas, coughed with an IV drip in her arm, and stood barefoot on the grass. Her face pale, she asked him what the world outside was like.

It's an awful world, cold everywhere you look.

But you seem different.

In this forest of concrete and steel, you are the only soft thing.
